Hubaal Global Jobs is a recruitment platform operated for the Somali Region of Ethiopia and the wider Ethiopian and diaspora market. Our team is based in Jigjiga, Somali Region. You can contact us any time through the Contact page or by emailing support@hubaaljobs.com.

We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Account data: name, email, optional phone number, authentication credentials and account role.
• Profile data: location, education, industry, experience, skills, WhatsApp number, avatar image.
• CV data: uploaded CV files and/or CV text you paste for AI analysis.
• Employer data: company name, logo, description, verification documents you upload during onboarding.
• Activity data: saved jobs, applications submitted, messages, comments, reactions and usage events where available.
• Technical data: device type, browser, IP address (for security and rate limiting), pages visited.

We use your personal information only for legitimate recruitment purposes, including:

• Creating and securing your account and verifying your identity.
• Matching candidates with relevant jobs using our AI recommendation engine.
• Delivering applications and messages between candidates and the relevant employers.
• Preventing fraud, scams and abuse of the Platform.
• Improving the Platform, our content, and our regional coverage.
• Sending you notifications you have opted into (e.g. WhatsApp job alerts).

We only share personal data in a limited set of circumstances:

• Employers you apply to receive the information you chose to submit with your application (profile fields, CV, message).
• Service providers involved in hosting, storage, delivery, messaging and optional AI features, only as needed to provide those services.
• Legal authorities when we are required to by applicable law or a valid legal request.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to any third party.

Access controls limit who can view account and application data. Uploaded CV files are stored privately; employers may receive the CV you submit with an application. Administrative access is limited by account permissions. We use HTTPS to protect data in transit.

We retain account and application information while needed to provide the service. You can delete your account in your profile or request deletion by email if you cannot sign in. Some information may be retained where required by law or needed to protect against abuse. See our Delete My Data page.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct or update inaccurate information via your Profile page.
• Delete your account and associated personal data — see our data deletion page.
• Change notification preferences and stop using optional AI CV analysis.
• Complain to your local data protection authority.

We use a small number of essential cookies and local-storage entries to keep you signed in, remember your language preference (Somali, English or Amharic) and your theme (dark/light). Usage analytics may collect information about how the Platform is used. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.

The Platform is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when it was revised.
