Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Hubaal Global Jobs (the “Platform”). By creating an account or using the Platform in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

In short: use the Platform honestly and legally, respect other users, don’t post fake jobs or scams, don’t misuse candidate data, and pay for any paid plan you choose. We provide the Platform “as is” and moderate content that breaks these rules.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you use the Platform on behalf of a company, government office or NGO, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Accounts and security

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. We may suspend accounts that show signs of compromise, fraud, or abuse.

3. Candidate accounts

Candidates agree that:

  • All profile and CV information you provide is accurate and represents your own experience.
  • You will not impersonate any other person.
  • Applications you submit will be considered by employers at their sole discretion; Hubaal does not guarantee interviews or employment outcomes.

4. Employer accounts and job listings

Employers and recruiters agree that:

  • Every job posted must describe a real, currently open role at a real organisation.
  • Job posts must not require payment, unpaid trials outside local law, or any form of unlawful discrimination.
  • Candidate data received through the Platform will be used only to evaluate the specific application, stored securely, and not shared with third parties.
  • You are responsible for complying with all applicable Ethiopian and international employment laws.
  • Hubaal may verify your organisation and require supporting documents before your first listing goes live.

5. Prohibited activities

You may not use the Platform to:

  • Post fake, misleading or fraudulent job listings, or “agency” schemes that charge candidates.
  • Scrape, copy or resell content, listings or candidate data.
  • Send unsolicited marketing, spam or bulk messages to other users.
  • Upload malware, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with Platform security.
  • Publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Harass, threaten or discriminate against other users on any protected ground.

6. User content and moderation

You retain ownership of the content you upload (profile info, CVs, job posts, comments). By posting content, you grant Hubaal a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display and distribute that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service. We may remove any content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly break the rules.

7. AI features

The Platform includes AI-assisted features such as CV analysis and job match scoring. These features are provided for guidance only. Recommendations, ATS scores and matched skills are best-effort outputs and must not be treated as authoritative hiring, medical, legal or financial advice.

8. Fees and paid plans

Employer accounts include a free trial period. After the trial, continued use of paid features requires a valid subscription. Prices, promo codes and plan features are displayed on the Billing page inside your dashboard. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

9. Verification badges

A verification badge indicates that Hubaal has reviewed the organisation’s documents at the time of onboarding. A badge is not an endorsement, guarantee of solvency, or assurance of the quality of any specific job or working conditions. Candidates remain responsible for their own due diligence.

10. Suspension and termination

You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue a service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13) will continue in effect.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hubaal makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy of listings, the outcome of applications, or uninterrupted availability. Hubaal is not a party to any employment contract that may arise between a candidate and an employer.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hubaal, its directors, employees and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Platform.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to the competent courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Platform. Continuing to use the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
